FAQ’s
Who is Kacie Miller, and what is Chronically Chic all about?
Hi Friends! I’m Kacie, the “Editor in Chic” of Chronically Chic, and I created this blog for people going through it, whatever "it" may be… For people who are sick of feeling like a mess and are ready to take back control of their lives!
I’m a Leo sun, moon, and rising, so yes... I’ve got opinions, and I’m not shy about sharing what actually works! After dealing with chronic symptoms, trial-and-error health advice, and way too much conflicting info, I decided to cut the fluff and give you the real stuff all in one place!
Here, you’ll find beauty, wellness, home, cooking, and various other kinds of lifestyle tips that are doable, effective, and make your life feel lighter and your day feel brighter. My goal is to help you feel good in your body, confident in your choices, and way less overwhelmed in your life.
If you’re over Googling stuff for hours and still feeling stuck, you’re in the right place. Subscribe to the newsletter for my favorite finds, personal tips, and weekly extras I don’t post anywhere else, and tell me what you need help with. I’m listening.
What inspired you to start Chronically Chic?
I was tired of feeling like my health and general life curveballs ruled my life and took over my identity. I created Chronically Chic to help women like me cut through the noise and feel good again without needing a medical degree or a Pinterest-perfect life. My struggles have given me a filter for what truly works, and now I share what has helped me in the hope that it may also help you.
How often do you post new content?
I post an article every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I like to keep things regular, so you always know when to expect fresh stuff without feeling overwhelmed. That said, I'm much chattier daily on social media!
Can I follow you on social media? Where?
Absolutely! Find me on:

How can I contact you for collabs or questions?
You can email me at [email protected] or check out my Twitter Media Kit. I’m open to pretty much anything I genuinely believe in and love. If it feels right, we’ll make it happen!
What does 'Chronically Chic' mean? Do you have a brand mission or philosophy?
Chronically Chic is about living with life or health challenges without turning your whole life upside down or losing what makes you, YOU. It’s proof you can handle chronic, scary, sad, or even just plain sucky stuff and still look good, feel good, and enjoy your life. My mission? To cut the crap and give you actionable, doable, (mostly affordable... but sometimes we're bougie! If it works, it works!) tips that make life manageable, not overwhelming.
What is a low-nickel diet, and how do you stick to it?
A low-nickel diet means cutting out foods and everyday stuff that trigger your systemic nickel allergy. If you have Systemic Nickel Allergy Syndrome (SNAS), it’s not just a little itch. We’re talking gut pain, unexplained rashes, brain fog, and all the annoying symptoms that had me convinced I had IBS for years.
I’ve written about how to spot hidden nickel in your daily life, easy summer snacks that won’t wreck you, how to travel without turning into a walking allergy disaster, and pantry staples that actually taste good. I even shared pizza recipes because clean eating doesn’t have to be sad or boring.
I’ve been through the full struggle, figured out what works, and put it all on the blog so you can avoid the guesswork and start feeling better faster. If your gut or skin is acting up and no one’s telling you about SNAS, this is the place to get real answers and solid solutions. You can read more about SNAS here!
What’s your stance on sugar and sweeteners?
Sugar gets a bad rap, but not all sugar is created equal. I stick mostly to cane sugar and raw honey because they’re natural, and my body processes them without drama. I avoid fake sweeteners like the plague because they can mess with your gut and cravings in ways that sneak up on you. Life’s complicated enough, adding chemical sweeteners just makes it worse. Sweetness should feel like a treat, not a trap.
What’s your biggest lesson since starting your blog?
I’ve learned that people don’t want a polished highlight reel. They want someone who gets their mess and can hand them real, usable advice. Sharing my honest ups and downs, how I solved my own problems, and sometimes just venting about my own life chaos, beats perfection every single time.
What’s next for Chronically Chic & your brand?
Right now, I'm focused on making Chronically Chic even more helpful and fun to follow! I'm adding new monthly challenges that are simple but genuinely useful, like resetting your closet, creating a realistic morning routine, or making weeknight dinners easier.
I'm working on more shoppable outfits too, so you can actually see what I’m wearing, where I got it, and how to style it in real life. Short videos are coming soon with quick beauty tips, practical routines, and things I’ve tested myself.
I’m also planning fresh product drops (Shop what's left of the OG drop here right now if you want it! Our new permanent collection is coming soon, and the current items will not be back!), subscriber-only perks, and behind-the-scenes updates you’ll only get if you're on my email list.
Everything I do is meant to help you feel more confident, more comfortable, and more supported in life. This isn't just about looking good. It's about feeling good, being understood, and having a space online to go to that just gets it.
What topics do you cover on your blog?
Chronically Chic is basically where beauty, wellness, homemaking, food, fashion, personal growth, and real-life struggles all show up at the same messy, fabulous dinner party. I talk about what it’s like to try and look cute and feel decent when your body isn’t exactly cooperating. You’ll find recipes I actually cook, beauty and skincare that won’t trigger flare-ups or break the bank, home things that make life easier, product recs that aren’t trendy junk, personal growth that doesn’t require a Pinterest quote collection, and takes on living with chronic symptoms while still caring about aesthetics, comfort, and quality of life.
Where did the name “Chronically Chic” come from?
I was 25, chronically unwell in every way, trying to manage hormone chaos, food allergies, stress, grief, self-doubts, and a full-blown burnout spiral, but still coordinating my outfits, choosing cute glassware, and keeping my hair done. I wanted to create a space where that contradiction was normal. “Chronically Chic” just clicked. It’s the intersection of real health struggles and not giving up on your identity, style, or audaciously big dreams just because your body’s acting up and life is... life-ing... It's where messy meets pretty, and both are valid.
How can I stay updated when you post something new?
Sign up for my newsletter right here. I share new blog posts, product faves, exclusive tips, and behind-the-scenes things I don’t post anywhere else.
What’s your long-term vision for Chronically Chic?
Chronically Chic isn’t just a blog, it’s my way of turning all the mess and confusion I went through into something that helps YOU. I want this to be your go-to resource for your entire life! Down the line, I’m bringing in more personalized and fun merch beyond the logo, a podcast, more regular video content, and new secret projects that’ll give you even more tools to live your best, most stylish life without stress!
Will it cost me extra to buy through your links?
Nope, you pay the same price whether you buy through my links or not. The tiny commission I get just helps keep Chronically Chic running and allows me to focus on sharing stuff that truly matters to you. It’s a win-win that doesn’t cost you anything extra! And thank you SO much if you do!
How do you choose the products you promote?
I'm super picky because I’ve been let down by thousands of products that irritated my skin, made me sick, or just didn’t deliver. Since I’m allergic to nickel, I’m always making sure anything I share is safe and tested by me. If it’s not legit, it won’t be on Chronically Chic. You won’t find me pushing junk just to make a buck. (But my favorites change often, so check in regularly!)
Can I republish or quote something from your blog?
Short quotes with credit are cool! For sure, friend! But please don’t take big chunks without asking because that feels like stealing my diary. If you want more, just hit me up and we can figure it out. If we vibe, I'd love to work together!
What’s your health situation, and how does it affect your content?
My health situation is layered and complicated. There's a lot I've left out here for the sake of your time lol... so here's the Cliff Notes: I have systemic nickel allergy syndrome (SNAS), which affects what I can eat, wear, and even touch, but it doesn’t stop there. I’ve also dealt with chronic fatigue syndrome, nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, depression, insomnia, skin issues like perioral dermatitis (which I figured out, thank you very much), and a nervous and immune system that’s way too easily overwhelmed.
I was even diagnosed with ADHD at 25, which makes A LOT of sense looking back... but conquering executive dysfunction (most days lol) was the REAL catalyst to this blog's existence. I’ve had to learn how to spot triggers, rebuild from burnout, and take care of myself without spiraling into obsession.
So when I share wellness tips, food ideas, or beauty swaps, it’s not from a place of perfection. It’s from a very real place of needing things to be doable, affordable, and actually helpful when your body is sensitive and your brain is fried.
I don’t pretend to have it all figured out, I'm still learning too! But if my experience can save you time, stress, or another random reaction, that’s the whole point.
What’s your overall take on wellness?
I think wellness should make your life easier, not more overwhelming. I'm here for simple routines, real ingredients, and beauty or health advice that actually works for people who don’t want to obsess over every bite or product label. If it feels like a second job, I’m not interested. If it helps you feel better in your body without stress or shame, I’m in.
Can I request a product review or brand feature?
Yes, I love getting requests from readers. If there's a product, brand, or trend you’re curious about, let me know. I only post honest reviews, and I never feature anything I wouldn’t actually use myself. You can send requests via my contact form or DM me on Instagram or Twitter.
Can I ask you for personal advice?
Absolutely! That's literally what I'm here for! I’m not a doctor or therapist, but if you’re dealing with… anything really, from chronic symptoms, low energy, skin issues, help simplifying your routine, or even your real-life drama, I’ll give you my advice based on what’s helped me! I can’t reply to every single message in depth, but I always try. If I get the same request a bunch, I turn it into an article! (Leaving out your personal details, of course!) The best way to get an answer is through a blog comment or email, but feel free to reach out on socials too!
Are you planning a podcast or YouTube channel?
Yes. I’m working on a podcast and YouTube channel behind the scenes right now. If you want to be the first to know when they launch, sign up for my newsletter! That’s where I drop all the updates I don’t share anywhere else.
Can I invest in or support your business in other ways?
Yes, and thank you for asking! 🥹💖🫶 You can shop my merch, purchase my digital downloads, or use my affiliate links when you buy things I recommend. That’s what helps keep Chronically Chic running. You can also tip/donate to me directly through Kofi if you love what I create and want to support it!
How can I help spread the word about Chronically Chic?
Tell your friends, share your favorite posts, and tag me when you try something from the blog. Word-of-mouth is everything to a small business. You can also repost content, comment, or pin things to Pinterest, every little bit helps, and I notice it all. Seriously, thank you.
